AIG WTF?

Filed under this week’s WTF (What the Fuck) would be AIG‘s recent bestowing of a multi-million dollar bonus package to top executives. Ummm…aren’t these the execs that drove AIG to the brink of bankruptcy before the US Government stepped in bailed them out? And then they turn around and give some of this money away the the very folks that almost blew it all? WTF?

What would I like to see? I’d like to see Prez. Obama roll up in AIG’s offices, tell the CEO to have a seat, and then have a comfortable seat at HIS desk. Yes, technically, if AIG was bailed out by the US gov, wouldn’t that president’s desk belond to Mr. Obama, or better yet, ME, the US taxpayer? Fuckers.

Here’s one that I’m still a bit confused about: Twitter unfollows.

The whole point of twitter, in my estimation, is to learn and share with others. The only way that I see possible to do this, is to follow a lot of people. Heck, I even follow some people that I know will annoy me, but I’m willing to forgo the usual garbage, if that person puts out one tweet per day/week/month that is of use to me.

Which leads me to my question: why unfollow? The only reason I can see for this is that you’re purposefully trying to hurt someone’s feelings. With all the twitter tools available today, tweetdeck, twhirl, etc., instead of unfollowing, why not do what I do, and simply file these folks in a catagory? Unfollowing simply defeats the purpose of twitter – i.e. learning from others and growing. Perhaps @hpcomputer just doesn’t want to hear the opinions of their potential customers? Oh, and Apple builds a much better computer anyway HP, so really – go screw yourselves.

Update: As it turns out, a number of those that unfollowed me the other day, including HPcomputer have suspended pages, i.e. they were garbage and either twitter themselves, or the twitter community has done a great job policing the site. ….and Apple still builds a better computer.

Here’s a first post on my brand spanking new blog. While I have another blog that I regulalrly write to, I wanted something a bit more anonymous, so that I could put out there a bunch of things that wouldn’t be the most appropriate for the other blog.

With that said, let’s see what happens here.

Speaking of first – who the fuck are these people (I’m actually elated that I can in fact write the word FUCK here) that come in to a comment section, and have nothing better to say than ‘First!’. Who really gives a shit? The only purpose I could see to leaving a ‘First’ comment, is that you’re proud to proclaim to the world that you are an absolute douchebag. Who really gives a crap who’s got the first comment? If it’s not something of value, I could care less if you’re first, fifth, or eight hundred and twenty first.

The last time I checked, commenting on an article was not a race.
